Piers Morgan 'praying' he doesn't have to quarantine after luxury France trip

Piers Morgan says he is "praying" he won't have to quarantine when he returns from his luxury trip in the South of France.

Good Morning Britain host Piers has spent several weeks in St Tropez, dining in exclusive restaurants and rubbing shoulders with his celeb pals, including Joan Collins and Amanda Holden.

Piers has been sampling the local delicacies at street food markets and has been scouring flea markets for souvenirs.

But today he shared his fears he would have to self-isolate when he returned to the UK, after France continues to reports more coronavirus cases daily.

Piers shared a photo of him and his sons in the garden of their luxury villa.

He captioned the photo: "Brits abroad... praying for no quarantine."

The UK brought in a quarantine for people returning from Spain very fast and there are fears that France could get the same treatment as cases continue to rise in the country.

In busy parts of Paris face masks have been made compulsory, to help quell the spread of the virus.

And today Prime Minister Boris Johnson said ministers will "not hesitate" to impose a quarantine system for travellers from other countries to the UK if needed.

Mr Johnson said: "I don't want to advise people about their individual holidays, individual decisions, they should look at the travel advice from the Foreign Office clearly.

"But what I will say, and I hope people would expect us to do this, in the context of a global pandemic, we've got to keep looking at the data in all the countries to which British people want to travel.

"Where it is necessary to impose restrictions or to impose a quarantine system, we will not hesitate to do so."
