Piers Morgan packs up GMB dressing room as fans say he'll 'never be replaced'

Piers Morgan has officially left Good Morning Britain as he packed up his old dressing room.

The controversial presenter dramatically "lost his job" on the ITV news programme after refusing to apologise for comments he made about Meghan Markle.

Piers, 55, doubled down on his opinion that he "didn't believe" the Duchess of Sussex suffered suicidal thoughts during her first pregnancy.

He even reignited the feud this week after questions were raised about Meghan and Prince Harry's wedding.

But Piers, who appeared on GMB alongside Susanna Reid for five years, has officially packed up and moved out of the ITV studio.

Sharing a picture on Instagram of multiple boxes filling the room, he wrote: "Goodbye, Good Morning Britain!"

There was even a cardboard cut out of his co-host lingering in the background.

He joked: "I think I’ll leave the cardboard cut-out, would be a bit creepy to take that home..."

Many fans took to the comment section to express their disappointment as the move away from GMB becomes final.

"I find that really sad you were amazing on the show , you always looked after every one there ain’t no one else to fill your boots," one wrote.

Another said: "You will never be replaced."

"Just NOT the same without you!!!" a third added.

A fourth echoed: "Mornings just aren’t the same anymore. Come back."

Piers had already ruled out any return to the show after more than 360,000 people signed various petitions to see him reinstated on the show.

He wrote on Twitter just days after leaving the show: "I won't be going back, but thanks to everyone who has signed these petitions.

"Normally, people start petitions to have me fired or deported, so this is a pleasant surprise."

He also confirmed he is still employed ITV and hasn't fully left the network.

Since he left, Ben Shephard has been filling in alongside Susanna and regular hosts Kate Garraway, Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins.
