Piers Morgan opens up on 'struggle' of doing his own make-up amid coronavirus outbreak

Piers Morgan has opened up on the 'struggle' of doing his own make-up.

The Good Morning Britain presenter has been forced to apply his own foundation and powder for the very first time today.

Piers usually has a crack team of stylists to make him look even more handsome before he goes live on air.

But due to social-distancing measures amid the coronavirus, Piers has had no other choice but to grab the blusher himself.

Speaking on today's Good Morning Britain, Piers said: "This struggle just got real. I just had to do my own make-up."

Dr Hilary, who also had to do up his own face, asked Piers if it took a long time.

He replied: "I had to remember all the bits, foundation and powder, god knows what else is going on.

"I have no idea if I'm camera ready or not. You know what, in the grand scheme of things, I don't care.

"If it is really good, maybe I should keep doing it."

Piers took to Instagram to share a snap where he was draped in a leopard skin gown.

He wrote: "Doing my own @gmb make-up for the first time - this struggle just got real."

All of Piers' ITV colleagues have also had to do their own make-up while the UK is in lockdown.

On Tuesday, Phillip Schofield shared a video of himself getting ready at a safe distance from Holly Willoughby before This Morning.

He said: "Well this is a bit of a first – no glam squad now. I’ve just made myself up."

"I don’t think I look like Barbara Cartland. Do I look alright?"
