Piers Morgan has offered to step in as Prime Minister and serve the UK after Boris Johnson confirmed he has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Marmite telly personality took to his social media to tell fans he’s “ready to serve” after Boris was dealt the devastating diagnosis, which will see him confined to part of his home without any social contact.
Piers, 54, shared his offering alongside a snap of him and his Good Morning Britain co-star Susanna Reid outside 10 Downing Street.

Writing on Twitter, Piers said: "Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus. Now self-isolating at No10, but will still handle Govt. handling of crisis.
"Wish him well, and also wish he gets our NHS health workers the same test - fast."
Prime Minister Boris Johnson revealed the news of his positive test results in a tweet after developing symptoms in the last 24 hours, but insisted he would continue to lead the government through the crisis.

Piers’ announcement has divided fans, who had some very strong opinions on the star’s offering.
“Have you no shame?” one asked, not so keen to see Mr Morgan in charge of leading the country.
“Poor taste. If it was a nurse you’d be in uproar. Yet it’s the most important man in the country and your making fun. Disgusting,” another added.

But others didn’t think it was such a bad idea, with one commenting: "Cannot believe I’m saying this but it might be the best thing that can happen, you seem to have the people of Britain’s best interests at heart x"
Another tweeted: "You's definitely be a good politician."
