Piers Morgan appears to be thrilled over the prospect of grilling Gavin Williamson tomorrow after mocking the Education Secretary's cringeworthy appearance on GMB last month.
The Education Secretary was blasted by Piers over his "catastrophic failings" during the pandemic and demanded to know whether he had offered to resign.
After repeating the question, but receiving little response, Piers suggested that he let a more "complacent" person take over because he had "failed" the kids.
Taking to Twitter this evening, he shared a screenshot of the floundering Tory MP during his last Good Morning Britain appearance.
He wrote: "UPDATE: Education Secretary @GavinWilliamson will be rejoining us on @GMB tomorrow. His last appearance didn’t go very well so let’s hope for better results this time...."
His return to GMB comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed this week that all schools in England will reopen from March 8.
This sparked anger from teaching unions, who hit out at Johnson's "big bang" school return and demanded a credible plan.
Prior to the announcement, a coalition of unions - ASCL, GMB, NAHT, NASUWT, NEU, NGA, SFCA, Unison and Unite - warned a "big bang" reopening would "seem reckless".
They added: "It could trigger another spike in Covid infections, prolong the disruption of education, and risk throwing away the hard-won progress made in suppressing the virus over the course of the latest lockdown."
Last week, Williamson also suffered a roasting during a Question Time debate, with an audience member branding him the "the worst education secretary we have ever had".
He was subjected to an onslaught of criticism over the debacle regarding GCSE and A-Level grading, which saw thousands of pupils' results downgraded by an algorithm following the cancellation of exams.
