Piers Morgan mocked by followers after showing picture of his own back garden

A number of lockdown restrictions eased in England last week, allowing thousands of people to head to the shops, out for food or even to a beer garden.

With the weather turning out to be pretty fantastic, those down south had wasted no time in getting back to a bit more normality, including Piers Morgan.

The former GMB presenter had been out soaking up the rays like many others, but had ended up being criticised over his favourite spot to relax in.

Posting a picture on social media, Piers showed fans his "favourite breakfast spot in the world", according to Essex Live.

The spot, as it turned out, is actually his garden, with the image showing his patio, outdoor furniture and view over the East Sussex countryside.

However, some followers were quick to comment on the picture with their thoughts on the state of the TV presenter's back garden.

Celebrity friend Vernon Kay commented jokingly on the post: "I’ll jet wash that patio for you for a glass of red [wine] and a cooked breakfast!"

Piers took his pal up on the offer saying "Done!". Presenter Vernon was not the only one to pass a comment at the state of Piers’ garden, as some fans also made cheeky comments about the wooden table and chairs.

One commented: "Beautiful now get sander wood stain out and preserve that lovely table and chairs will look like new."

Another remarked: "It is time you re-treat the table and chairs you have no excuse you have plenty of time on your hands."

Giving some advice to the star, another fan told Piers to "pressure wash the furniture then treat it".

Not to be outdone by another who wrote: “All that time off, you could re stain your garden furniture.”
