Piers Morgan makes sly dig as Susanna Reid admits she's excited over his replacement

Susanna Reid expressed her excitement over working with Piers Morgan's replacement - as the unimpressed GMB presenter make a sly dig in turn.

The pair appeared on Good Morning Britain today as Susanna jumped into speaking about working with Judge Rinder.

Susanna has joined the TV judge on the sofa with his adorable bulldog as they take part in Gogglebox.

Joking about a moment when she tried to cover her vision of the screen with her hand, Susanna quipped that viewers should "try it with the other side of the screen".

Revealing that she needed to watch "hours and hours" of TV for the show but admitted that she was worried about the editing.

"We've not got any control over the editing," she said.

"As our friend Eamonn [Holmes] found out, that editing can be savage," Piers warned.

Eamonn said that he was 'hurt' over the editing on Gogglebox (Channel 4)

Earlier this month, Gogglebox's production company Studio Lambert have issued an apology to Eamonn after he said he was "hurt beyond belief" that the programme edited out his dad's death.

Eamonn had appeared on the celebrity version of the show with wife Ruth Langsford.

Each of the stars had been reacting to a touching story where a child phoned 999 to report that his father was having a heart attack.

In response, however, Eamonn appeared to make a lighthearted comment - which he subsequently received backlash for on Twitter.

He took to social media soon after the episode aired to share that he was left "deeply hurt" that Gogglebox had chosen to edit out a clip talking about his father dying from a heart attack at the side of the road.

Studio Lambert have said that they have since decided to edit the episode for future repeats and All4.
