Controversial TV presenter Piers Morgan has made a return to our screens on Good Morning Britain in the hopes of gaining more viewer votes at the National Television Award's (NTAs).
Morgan returned opposite his usual co-host, Susanna Reid, for the first time since his exit in March 2021.
His exit followed a string of Ofcom complaints regarding his remarks on Meghan Markle and her mental health, which she openly spoke about in a broadcasted interview between her, Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey.
According to Birmingham Live, the 56-year-old ITV1 daytime presenter recounted his and Susanna's best bits over their years on Good Morning Britain together.
Morgan is known for his controversial and outspoken manner.
The former newspaper editor left his role as presenter on the ITV1 daytime TV favourite after failing to give an apology to the Duchess of Sussex in the wake of the explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.
During the best bits montage, Piers was seen grilling Health Secretary Matt Hancock and other MPs, as well as meeting the UK's oldest set of identical twins, the Tipton Twins.
Morgan exited the ITV morning show in March following a row over comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
His successor has not yet been announced but former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell is among the people who have joined Reid at the desk as a temporary co-host.
This week has seen Bill Turnbull reunite with Susanna on the show as host.
Neil Thompson, editor of Good Morning Britain, said: "I'm thrilled that Bill is rejoining us behind the GMB desk.
"It's not just his brilliant and enduring onscreen partnership with Susanna that makes its mark, it's his relationship with the audience in general, one based on authenticity, authority, warmth, humour and trust."
