Piers Morgan makes cheeky 'difficult time' dig at This Morning's Phillip and Holly

They may work on the same network, but Piers Morgan doesn't mind taking a few digs at his fellow ITV stars.

The controversial Good Morning Britain presenter has previously kicked off about This Morning winning awards over GMB.

But Piers may have just got his way.

The 54-year-old took to Twitter after the Royal Television Society announced the nominations for its RTS Programme Awards.

And in a big twist, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield weren't nominated.

So naturally, Piers had something to say.

He tweeted: "BREAKING: Good Morning Britain nominated for Best Daytime Programme at the RTS Awards.... and This Morning isn't!

"Thoughts with our ‘one big happy ITV family’ colleagues @Schofe @hollywills at this difficult time."

Good Morning Britain is nominated in the Daytime Programme category against Beat the Chef and The Repair Shop.

Last year, Piers hit out at Holly and Phil in an epic sweary rant during the TV Choice Awards.

The TV host branded the This Morning duo "snivelling little b*****ds" in the savage outburst after Good Morning Britain lost out to the daytime favourite.

Then at the start of this year, Piers boycotted the National Television Awards as he didn't want to see the team pick up the best daytime gong at the awards ceremony for the 10th year in a row.
