Piers Morgan has revealed he has been texting Raheem Sterling in the build-up to tonight's Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.
Sterling has been a key player for the Three Lions at this summer's tournament, scoring three goals on their journey to the final.
The Manchester City winger has come in for criticism in the past, specifically from Morgan, who questioned the fee behind his big-money move from Liverpool in 2015.
However, when called out by a fan for his past comments about the 26-year-old, Morgan insisted that they are now on good terms.
The former GMB presenter also revealed they had been texting on the eve of the final, before giving the whole team his backing.

"I get on very well with Raheem," he replied to the fan. "In fact we were texting each other last night.
"You’re right about one thing though - I’ll be cheering England on."
Morgan and Sterling have shared various jibes on Twitter in the past.
It kicked off with his post six years ago, as he shared: "If Raheem Sterling's worth £49million then I'm an Aardvark."

Having gone on to become one of the leading players in the Premier League, Sterling posted three laughing emojis alongside the comment: "Now this is even funnier Piers."
Piers took the comeback very well, tweeting him back: "Haha, touche! I meant you were worth a lot MORE than £49million, Raheem... obviously."
A close friend to Morgan, though at times more of a foe on social media, Gary Lineker shared a heartfelt message with the England squad ahead of Sunday night's final.
He said in The Players' Tribune : "Think about it. What unites us as a nation like football? Nothing. It is a kind of magic, really.
"That is the power of football. The power of England.
"And this team in particular — this group of 26 young lads and their manager — has taken it to another level, bringing so much pride, joy and togetherness to a nation that is so often stuck in division.

"In their brilliance on and off the field, this team represents the very best of England in its diversity, dignity and shining social conscience.
"To a man, they are thoughtful, empathetic and articulate. And they are changing what it means to be an England footballer.
"It’s incredible, really, especially when you consider how young they are — they're just kids! Though I can’t claim any part in their development, watching them I feel like a proud father."
