Piers Morgan was left red faced wandering around a hotel corridor stark naked.
The Good Morning Britain host, 55, was trying to collect his room service in the buff when his door shut and locked behind him.
He was left ended up nude and helpless in public leaving him completely mortified.
The controversial TV star revealed the embarrassing story to comfort reporter Nick Dixon who had told a similar red-faced story.
In a bid to make Nick after getting his sleeve stuck in a hotel door, Piers told his co-star that ‘it could have been worse’.
Piers explained that after hearing a knock on his hotel room door, he rushed to see who was at the door – forgetting that he didn’t have a stitch of clothing on.
“I remember once thinking that room service had come to my door in a hotel, many years ago,” he chuckled.
“And I went, opened the door poked my head out, couldn't see anything and thought they may have left it on the floor, popped out, door shuts behind me, wouldn't have mattered if I hadn't been completely stark naked.
“And then I had to wander around the corridor of this hotel trying to find somebody.”
Piers insisted that the memory of walking around the hotel covering his manhood was one of the most awkward moments in his life.
Looking back with a strange fondness, he said: “Of course, then you don't want to bump into anybody, you want to find a phone to ring reception, and even that's awkward. It was very awkward.”
Reassuring his co-star once again, Piers insisted: “Anyway so I sympathise with you mate.
"Yours is by far the least embarrassing thing that could have happened.”
Baffled by her co-stars startling admission, Susanna Reid erupted into laughter before she shared her sympathy for the ‘unlucky’ hotel staff.
Susanna quipped: “And there's an image the other hotel resident can never un-see.”
Thankfully, Piers eventually got back into his room and back into his clothes!
