Poor Lorraine Kelly had a double dose of unwelcome banter from Piers Morgan today as he celebrated her broadcasting milestone with some embarrassing stories.
The Good Morning Britain presenter took the helm on ITV’s Lorraine to mark 35 years of the Scottish TV host’s career.
Sat in Lorraine’s usual spot and grinning from ear to ear as he interviewed her, Piers decided to bring back a memory that made the 59-year-old recoil.
He joked: "What do you remember about your woman's weekly pages that you used to knock out?
“Do you remember saying this? 'It's now the latest craze sweeping Scotland. You can try out a special sunbed that toasts you a beautiful golden brown on both sides."
As a photo of her lay naked on a sun bed flashed up on screen, Lorraine squealed: "No, please no!"
But Piers hadn’t finished with her - he then started to reignite her 'feud' with Esther McVey.
Lorraine hit the headlines over the summer when she made it quite clear that the Conservative MP is not on her Christmas card list.
She cringed when Piers asked: "So you got on with Esther then?"
But he added: "Not much makes you do that. The secret to your longevity is you are a great laugh on and off camera.
"You always see the good in people.
"So for you to go that way about someone, it really does make me worry about Esther McVey."
Lorraine airs weekdays from 8.30am on ITV.
