Piers Morgan hits back trolls and insists he didn't blag free holiday to Antigua

Piers Morgan has hit back at trolls by insisting he didn't blag his luxury holiday to Antigua for free.

The former Good Morning Britain star jetted off to the Caribbean island this month for a luxury break with his three sons, while his wife Celia Walden stayed at home.

He has been sharing plenty of pictures from the trip, boasting about the views, food and spectacular beaches.

As the holiday came to an end, Piers posted a message online thanking the staff at the Jumby Bay Resort for their hospitality.

He then addressed trolls and insisted he hadn't been given the trip for free - he just wanted the hard-working staff to be given the recognition they deserve.

His message was posted alongside two pictures of his sons at the resort, with one showing them there as young boys and another from the most recent trip.

The snaps showed Spencer, 28, Stanley, 24, and 20-year-old Bertie standing in the same place in the resort years apart.

Captioning it "How it started…. How it’s growing…" the star then added: "Thanks to all the brilliant staff at @jumbybayresort for another wonderful holiday.

"Really is a very special place run by very special people. My sons and I go there most years for our annual lads holiday and love Jumby like a second home because that’s how everyone who works there makes us (and every other guest) feel."

The fiery former newsman then added: "Relax, trolls, I paid full whack….I just give them lots of Insta love because they deserve it."

Piers enjoyed some quality time with his sons on the trip while his while enjoyed some alone time in London with their daughter Elise, nine.

While he was away, Celia, 45, took to her Instagram account to share a photo of Piers reading a book called The Husbands.

In the caption, she joked that Piers, 56, being "5000 miles away" in Antigua has done wonders for their marriage.

She wrote: "When I said 'This book might just save your marriage' in my interview with @chandlerbakerbooks in today’s Telegraph, I should have made it clear that He needs to read it too… and spend a couple of weeks a year 5000 miles away."

She later posted another photo of herself sitting on a bench in Hyde Park, and when fans questioned why she wasn't away she said she is on a "Piers-cation".

She wrote: "He's having a boys holiday. And I'm having a Piers-cation…"

Celia went on to admit she was actually quite jealous of her husband's holiday and joked she was having to avoid looking at his Instagram posts.
