Piers Morgan hits back at 'unacceptable' Andi Peters after GMB 'fat shaming'

Piers Morgan demanded an apology after accusing Andi Peters of "fat shaming" him on Good Morning Britain.

The divisive presenter, 54, then threatened to have Andi fired.

Piers returned to the ITV show today (March 2) after taking time off during the February half term - and he didn't seem like he was in the best mood.

The drama unfolded when his co-star asked who "ate all the pies in the studio' while looking in Piers' direction.

"I just think it was completely unacceptable,," fuming Piers announced as the pair proceeded to have an incredibly awkward exchange.

"I don't like being fat shamed by you," said Piers. "It's wrong, and fills me with self loathing. Everything about what you just did is offensive.

"I really feel like you should apologise."

As Andi left through the studio door, he peaked back out and said: "You could say it was 'bants'."

"You could say it was just 'fired'," Piers retorted, reports the Mirror.

When Andi returned to the store to promote his pie competition, Piers took aim at his co-stars own physique.

"If I was going to do that fat thing I wouldn't wear such a tight top," Piers retorted.

Andi hit back: "Google Andi Peters Men's Health."

Piers responded: "Mate, no one Googles Andi Peters let alone Andi Peters Men's Health."

Susanna Reid was forced to intervene, demanding: "Calm down!"

*Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV
