Piers Morgan hits back at GMB guest after he's branded Meghan Markle's 'biggest troll'

Piers Morgan has hit back at a Good Morning Britain guest after they branded him the "biggest troll" live on air over his criticism of Meghan Markle.

The combative host, 55, was absent on the programme as he only hosts the show from Monday to Wednesday, but was furiously defended by co-star Susanna Reid.

A new explosive teaser clip was shown on the ITV programme of Meghan's interview with Oprah Winfrey, which sees the duchess accuse the royals of "perpetuating falsehoods".

Discussing the clip, columnist Ayesha Hazarika went on to bring Piers into the conversation and branded him a "very powerful person with a big, big platform".

Questioned on why there was little public support for Meghan, Ayesha fumed: "Well, of course they don't have sympathy for her! No offence to your colleague who isn't here, Piers Morgan, but he's one of the biggest trolls against her."

Responding to Ayesha, Piers wrote: "Fascinating to watch @ayeshahazarika on @GMB dismiss serious bullying allegations against Meghan Markle against female staff as just more racism. These Meghan-loving feminists are all for supporting women - unless they're the victims of vile bullying by Meghan Markle."

Piers went on to hit out at another frequent GMB guest, Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, who branded the Meghan bullying accusations "racist".

It has been claimed that the Duchess of Sussex has faced a bullying complaint after being accused of "emotional cruelty" from a close advisor at the palace.

Meghan, whose tell-all interview with Oprah with Prince Harry is set to air on Monday in the UK, has been accused of "totally unacceptable" treatment of their former staff.

However, a spokesman for the Sussexes has branded the report a “calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation”.

Taking to Twitter, Dr Shola shared a video about the "black woman trope" and wrote: "'Bully' has colour. Strong Black & bi-racial women of Black heritage are ALWAYS labelled 'bully'. That's why Royal Family a.k.a The Firm & British media use it as smear tactic on Meghan Markle. My book #ThisIsWhyIResist explains why. Don't pretend you don't know #OprahMeghanHarry."

Retweeting her comments, Piers fumed: "What a load of c**p & how grotesquely insulting to the young women Meghan is alleged to have bullied."
