Piers Morgan appeared to gloat after it was reported that The Talk had experienced a slump in ratings when Sharon Osbourne left.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter, who is close friends with Sharon, took to social media to blame the ratings drop on the show going 'woke'.
It comes after Sharon Osbourne dramatically quit the show after an on-air feud with her co-star Sheryl Underwood in which the pair disagreed over Piers Morgan's Meghan Markle comments.
As well as retweeting a headline that reported on The Talk become the lowest-rated daytime programme, Piers had a simple comeback.
"Go woke... go broke," he jibed.
Piers is notorious for taking aim at what he dubs the 'woke' agenda, and while some social media profiles appeared to agree with the outspoken television star, other followers did not.

"The term "woke" has been so over used, its lost any meaning. Its thrown at anything that right leaning people disagree with," wrote one profile.
Another added: "‘Woke’ is not a bad thing as @adilray was discussing on the now brilliant @GMB with @akalamusic. It is in fact essential to talk through the issues of institutional racism as some don’t understand."
A third wrote: "Ratings and twitter follower count are not the only important things in life."

It's also not the first time that Piers has thrown his support behind Sharon, after he claimed that she had been 'bullied' out of the show and her departure was 'an absolute disgrace'.
"What’s happened to @MrsSOsbourne is an absolute disgrace that shames CBS. Bullied out of her job for defending me against an invented slur of racism because I don’t believe a liar. In tomorrow’s Mail on Sunday, I’ll tell MY truth about this woke cancel culture bulls***," he fumed on Twitter at the end of March.
It came after Sharon walked away from her role on the US talk show after she defended Piers for his approach to Meghan Markle.
In March, Piers caused shockwaves on GMB when he rubbished Meghan's claims about her mental health and comments made about son Archie's skin tone, prior to his birth, by a member of the Royal family during the TV chat.

Days later, he dramatically announced that he had quit the show after being challenged for his views by co-star Alex Beresford.
When Sharon appeared on The Talk, the wife of Ozzy Osbourne stood by Piers as he refused to apologise before becoming caught up in a heated exchange.
Following the show, Sharon took to social media to issue a grovelling apology over her behaviour - but then her former co-star Holly Robinson alleged she got her fired for being 'too ghetto'.

Sharon was also accused of making a racial slur at colleague Julie Chen. She has denied all the claims.
Since her departure, it has been reported by the Soap Opera Network that The Talk was ranked lowest in a table of ratings from women for daytime TV shows for the week of April 12-16.
However, a large majority of the shows in the list also suffered a larger drop in viewer ratings as opposed to last year.
