It seems as though the new sex advice regarding face masks has really struck up a chord with Piers Morgan.
The Good Morning Britain host, 55, was left fuming over the latest advice that urges people to wear a mask during sex and to avoid face to face positions.
The new guidelines are a surefire way to reduce the spread of coronavirus, the Terrence Higgins Trust insists.
Taking to Twitter, Piers fumed at an article which that made the suggestion, as the tweet read: "New sex advice includes: Avoiding kissing, Wearing a face covering, Choosing positions that aren't face-to-face during sex."
Fuming Piers declared: "Can you imagine reading this 9 months ago? The world’s gone nuts."
And it seems as though Piers' fans, too, thought the advice was a little too much.
One person agreed with the outspoken telly presenter, writing: "That is the most stupid thing I've ever read…"
Another wrote: "…this is overkill!."
While a third added: "NOPE. Wish we did not. Yep. The world has gone nuts."
A fourth agreed, adding: "Where does it end?"
The Terrence Higgins Trust released guidelines on safe sex as lockdown measures continue to be eased - though advises abstaining from sex outside your home is still the best course of action.
Research suggests Brits have been abiding by common sense during the pandemic with the number of people taking new sexual partners having dropped considerably.
In fact, THT said 84 percent had managed to avoid the temptation to go outside the home for sex due to restrictions, since March.
If having sex with someone outside of your household, the charity advised having one regular partner or limiting the number of sexual partners as well as taking other precautions.
Sexual partners are advised to wash their hands for 20 seconds before and after sex to help reduce the risk.
