Piers Morgan finally reunites with son after announcing GMB break

Piers Morgan has finally reunited with one of his sons after three months of not seeing him.

Piers has been vocal on Good Morning Britain about not seeing his sons during the coronavirus lockdown.

But today the 55-year-old met up with his son Spencer, although they stayed socially distanced.

The presenter shared a photo of their sunshine reunion and captioned the snap: "Nice to see you again son, albeit from 2 metres. #3MonthReunion "

And fans were happy to see the family reunion and shared their own tales of meeting up with their relatives.

jo_purdey said: "Saw my dad for the first time yesterday as well, broke my heart not being able to hug him."

donnamgallacher said: "It's great seeing them Piers isn't it."

tashagoonery6 said: "So nice but when we hug our loved (ones) it will even better."

Piers' reunion comes as he announced he'd be taking a break from GMB next week, along with Susanna Reid and Dr Hilary.

The presenter said he won't be on the popular breakfast show from next week so he can take a week-long holiday.

Piers admitted it had been a "long old haul" reporting daily on the coronavirus pandemic.

Piers was asked by Susanna whether he was going anywhere nice during the half-term and he quipped: "I'm going upstairs."
