Piers Morgan fans jubilant as he returns to TV screens after Meghan Markle rant

Piers Morgan fans were delighted to see the outspoken star back on television screens on Thursday evening, following his shock departure from Good Morning Britain.

The 55-year-old star was back on ITV for the latest episode of Life Stories, which saw him interview Loose Women star Coleen Nolan, 56.

As Piers spoke to the singer about growing up in the spotlight and dealing with cancer tragedy in her family, viewers were delighted to see him back on the small screen.

A fourth fan penned: "Piers Morgan does these audiences so well I was in the audience when he had boy George as a guest ,he’s a professional and does his research."

Piers was very outspoken on the breakfast show about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's interview with Oprah Winfrey and a lot of GMB viewers were not impressed.

However, after quitting the show, Piers was keen to let everyone know that he stood by his comments regarding the former Suits actress.

Piers said he had "trusted his gut" and that "freedom of speech is a hill [he] is happy to die on".

He added that conversations with ITV had been "amicable", and stood by his fury-sparking remarks.

Speaking outside his London home last Wednesday morning (10 March), Piers said he had not been "cancelled" by the "woke crowd" and will "re-emerge" from "temporary hibernation" following his departure from the ITV morning show.

“I think it’s fair to say, although the woke crowd will think that they’ve cancelled me, I think they will be rather disappointed when I re-emerge," he said. "I would call it a temporary hibernation.”

He added that he is “always in talks with people”.

Meanwhile, it's been reported that there's several people in the running to replace Piers.

When asked about the possibility of hosting GMB, Robert Rinder hinted that he would be tougher on politicians than Piers was.
