Piers Morgan explains his coronavirus-style symptoms ahead of GMB return

Piers Morgan has shared on the coronavirus-style symptoms he suffered.

The Good Morning Britain host, 55, announced last Sunday that he was suffering mild symptoms of the deadly bug and that he had been tested for Covid-19.

The next day he was relieved to find out that his results came back negative but told his fans that he was not returning to work until his doctor advised him to do so.

Now, ahead of his return to TV - which will be Monday morning - the former newspaper editor has detailed the exact symptoms he had that made him believe that he could have caught the virus.

Listing the medical issues he experienced as he replied to a Twitter user, who quizzed the broadcaster on what made him think he was carrying the virus, he typed: "If you really want to know, I developed shortness of breath, a cough & unusual lethargy - three possible signs of COVID-19.

The following day Piers told his fans that he was not infected with Covid-19.

He typed: "Relax everyone, I’ll be back Monday."

In his absence TV favourite Ben Shephard has been holding down the fort alongside Susanna Reid.
