Piers Morgan edits image on Twitter - gets called out by Dan Walker

Piers Morgan was left red-faced after his BBC Breakfast rival called out his photo-editing skills on Twitter.

Morgan tweeted a picture with his Good Morning Britain co-stars Charlotte Hawkins, Ranvir Singh, Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Laura Tobin from Tuesday night’s National Television Awards.

He captioned the shot: “Proof that we have the hottest show on TV... @GMB @CharlotteHawkns @ranvir01 @susannareid100 @kategarraway @Lauratobin1 #NTAs.”

But Dan Walker publicly shamed him on Twitter by posting the original picture which also features Sean Fletcher and Alex Beresford. “What happened to the rest of the ‘team’? #Crop,” he tweeted.

Morgan fired back: “They didn’t meet the required aesthetic level for crop selection.”

But Walker trolled him further by showing off his own editing skills to scrub Morgan’s face from the picture altogether.

Fans agreed with the new version, with one hailing it “much better,” while another tweeted: “Too funny.”

Morgan was left disgruntled at the ceremony after losing out on the Best Daytime gong to This Morning, which retained the title for the ninth consecutive year.

He tweeted his congratulations, posting: “Absolutely thrilled for the snivelling little wretches.”

He made several desperate attempts to get viewers voting for Good Morning Britain, promising to go vegan for a week while Reid vowed to break her no-alcohol ban and turn up to work intoxicated the next morning.

He celebrated his vegan swerve by tweeting a picture of himself smiling into a full English breakfast alongside the caption: “On a positive note, losing at last night’s NTAs means I don’t have to go vegan for a week!”
