Piers Morgan details 'blazing row' with Susanna Reid off-screen as he has say on Harry and William reunion

Piers Morgan has said "appearances can be deceptive" as he discussed off-air rows with Susanna Reid.

The controversial journalist and TV presenter spoke out on his own experience of behind-the-scenes tensions after Prince William and Prince Harry united for the first time since their grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, was laid to rest in April.

Diana, Prince of Wales, would have celebrated her 60th birthday on Thursday (July 1) and the siblings came together to pay an emotional tribute.

The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex unveiled a statue of their late mother, which has been erected in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, amid rumours of fraught relations.

Discussing their reunion in his latest Daily Mail column, Piers appeared to suggest he knows how the brothers may have felt.

"They smiled for the cameras and put on an apparently warm display of unity, and that was good to see," he wrote.

"But the two men have had decades to practice hiding their real feelings from the public, and trust me, it's easy."

"Susanna Reid and I once presented a whole three-hour episode of Good Morning Britain together without exchanging a single civil word on or off camera after a blazing row.

"But the viewers barely noticed thanks to our fixed cheesy grins and cheery chats with guests."

Piers dramatically left Good Morning Britain in March after receiving tens of thousands of complaints after comments he made about Meghan Markle.

The 56-year-old claimed he "lost his job" on the news programme after refusing to apologise for his views on the Duchess of Sussex.

Since his exit, various presenters have stepped into the main hosting role including Adil Ray, Alastair Campbell, Bill Turnbull and most recently Martin Lewis.
