Piers Morgan desperate to track down Gazza burglars after police raise fears over tweet

Piers Morgan is desperate to track down the people for a responsible for a burglary on Paul Gascoigne's after revealing police believe a tweet he posted could have been behind the burglary.

Ex-England, Newcastle and Spurs legend had £140,000 worth of items taken from his flat while at the filming of Piers' Life Stories with footballing rival and pal Vinnie Jones.

And Piers revealed on Monday's Good Morning Britain that police believe a tweet he posted about Gazza being on Life Stories could be how thieves knew he wasn't at home.

Speaking on the show, Piers said: "Strange one that. He was in the audience last Monday. I posted a picture of Gazza in the audience. I didn't think anything of it.

'It appears while he was sitting there and that tweet went out, police fear somebody possibly realised he wasn't at his house and saw the opportunity, which is absolutely appalling for Paul."

Issuing a plea for people to track down the culprits, Piers continued: "It's very sad for Paul. What kind of person does that? You know what he's been through the last few years..

"If you know what kind of person has done that - I want to know who did that to Paul Gascoigne."

"Nice people right? To go into the house of a person who's gone through what he has. So if we can find them, that would be great."
