Piers Morgan demands public apology from Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson after she branded him a ‘silly t***’

Piers Morgan has lashed out at Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, demanding she apologise for blasting him on live radio.

Nelson slammed the Good Morning Britain presenter after he criticised the group’s promo shoot for latest single Strip, which features the girls naked with insults written all over their bodies in a bid to combat body insecurities.

The image proved less than a hit with Morgan who accused the girl group of “using sex to sell records.”

The group addressed his comments on Radio 1’s afternoon show with Nick Grimshaw, who asked if they were surprised.

Nelson replied: “Of course not, he’s a silly t***”.

Morgan has since blasted the singer for “letting herself down.”

Speaking on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain he said: “Jesy you let yourself down didn’t you? When you do a campaign against using rude words, it’s probably better not using rude words on the radio about me.

“She called me a t***, let’s be perfectly clear. I think you need to make a public apology during your campaign to root out bad language in public discourse.

“Grimmers apologised to me on their behalf, I didn’t hear Jesy apologise. As part of your campaign to root out bad language. Perhaps you can apologise for calling me a t***.”

Morgan also invited Nelson and the rest of the group, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirwall to come on the show to discuss the topic.

He tweeted: “If you're brave enough @LittleMix - come on @GMB tomorrow and say when you've just been saying about me on Radio One to my face.

“Then we can debate your cynical exploitation of nudity to sell records (sic).”

Good Morning Britain is on ITV, weekdays at 6am
