Piers Morgan is celebrating after Good Morning Britain scored its best ratings ever, but not all viewers shared in his delight.
On the same day Piers admitted tension between him and Susanna Reid, he took to Twitter to reveal that "Good Morning Britain had its highest ever ratings" on Monday as he thanked people for watching.
He then shared an official statement from ITV which read: "Good Morning Britain achieved its highest-ever share of viewing yesterday with a record 28.5% share.
"Monday’s show, presented by Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, peaked (at 6.40am), with a 32.3% share, while total viewers peaked (at 8.40am) with 1.65 million.
"Yesterday’s show, which featured interviews with former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Vaccines Minister Nadhim Zahawi and tributes to late Coronation Street star Johnny Briggs, was up on the equivalent day last year by +6.4 share points.

"The programme was also up +27% in total viewers, with an average of 1.0 million tuning in from 6am-9am - the tenth highest volume figure ever."
Piers tweeted: "BOOM! It’s official.." alongside a series of flame emojis but, while some of his many Twitter followers congratulated him, others didn't react positively.
One told him: "Always disagreement but bloody good entertainment. Keep up the good work and the only journalists not afraid to hold this government to account," but another tweeted: "You do realise the only reason your viewing figures have gone up is because more people are at home"
Others pointed out that the figures still put GMB behind rival BBC Breakfast.
