Piers Morgan cuts off 'awkward' Susanna Reid on ITV Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan was forced to cut off Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain after she interrupted a live news report.

The pair, who famously clash for their differing views, were at odds again today.

Usually, it is Susanna who steps in to quieten Piers, but the tables turned as the outspoken TV host hit out at the former BBC breakfast presenter.

Charlotte Hawkins was presenting the national news bulletin when noises could be heard in the background.

She was speaking about the crackdown of scam adverts on Facebook, when Piers said: "Sorry, sorry Susanna could you just turn your phone off."

The camera then zoomed out of Charlotte and showed a surprised Susanna on her phone.

Piers revealed that Susanna had started to play music on her phone, despite Charlotte speaking.

Susanna apologised, explaining she was preparing to talk about Miley Cyrus.

However, Piers continued saying Susanna was being 'awkward' and prompted Charlotte to continue with the news.

And fans took Piers' side, with some viewers taking to Twitter.

One said: "Charlotte hardly gets any air time then when she does Susanna messes up with her b***** music on phone."

Piers and Susanna will be taking a six week summer break, with Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd expected to replace them.
