Piers Morgan critic model threatened with rape and beheading after criticising him on Twitter

A model has revealed how she faced vile threats of rape and beheading after she criticised Piers Morgan on Twitter.

Jessica Davies, an influencer from Cardiff, says she once tweeted the Good Morning Britain host and criticised his support of US President Donald Trump.

Piers quote tweeted her in retaliation and she was bombarded with abusive tweets.

Jessica, who has more than 147,000 followers on Instagram and 162,000 on Twitter, says she receives some kind of abuse every time she shares a post on social media.

She told Wales Online : "He quote retweeted me telling me to shut up or something along those lines.

She said she received a huge backlash after criticising Morgan's support of US President Donald Trump (ITV)

"I didn't really think much about it, but almost instantly I had this onslaught of abuse.

"I had people telling me they wanted to kill me, saying I should be beheaded.

"I had one person say they were going to come and find me and rape me.

"It was the first time I thought 'oh, these people could find out where I live and hurt me.'"

Mirror Online has contacted Piers Morgan's representatives for comment.

Piers is known for being very vocal with his opinions, both on GMB and on Twitter.

This week he has been particularly active on the social media site due to Dominic Cummings' lockdown breach.

The senior government advisor travelled from his home in London to his parents' house in Durham, breaking the coronavirus lockdown rules imposed by the government.

Piers has called for Cummings to resign and branded Prime Minister Boris Johnson a "f**king disgrace" for not sacking him.
