Piers Morgan has confirmed that he voted for the Conservatives in the recent election despite being an ardent Remainer.
Appearing on LBC , the 54-year-old was quizzed by Ruth Davidson on his political stance, after which he admitted voting for Boris Johnson .
The Good Morning Britain host even revealed he voted for the Animal Welfare Party in 2015, saying he was unimpressed with all the major parties.
And when Ruth asked him if he still felt the same, Piers admitted to voting for the PM on December 12.
He told Ruth: "I voted for Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party. Not from any great love of either, but because, as I have made clear on Good Morning Britain for the last three years, I was incensed by the failure to honour the result of the referendum."

He continued: "I voted to Remain and I would vote to Remain again. I'm not a great fan of Brexit . However, I'm a much bigger fan of democracy.
"And to me, Boris Johnson was the only major party candidate who was offering to honour democracy and to respect the fact that 17.4million people had voted to leave the European Union.
"When I went to my ballot box I was crystal clear - and I'm often not. I've voted for the Conservatives and Labour over the years - and the Animal Welfare Party.
"But this time I was crystal clear. I was going to vote for the only candidate - outside of the Brexit Party which was a niche and in my view fairly irrelevant part of the election - I was going to vote for the candidate who promised to deliver on the way the people had voted in 2016."

He added: "To me, it was a clear-cut case of democracy being more important than actually any individual personal party."
Ruth quizzed Piers on how he claimed not to have had time for David Cameron and Ed Miliband, and was surprised to hear he was more positive about Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn.
Piers explained: "I thought Corbyn was more principled than Ed Miliband. I didn't understand about most of what Corbyn stood for, but he's more principled.
"David Cameron - I just couldn't bring myself to vote for him. I didn't feel anything about him. Whereas Boris Johnson has got something about him. He's a very charismatic person."

It comes as Piers recently found himself in a Twitter battle with rapper Stormzy over his defence of Boris Johnson.
The UK grime star had spoken to young pupils at his former primary school in Thornton Heath, south London, when he was questioned on his dislike of the prime minister.
Stormzy had told kids the PM was "a very very bad man".
Having been a firm supporter of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn during campaigning for the General Election , Stormzy also compared Johnson to the "big, bad wolf".
Naturally, outspoken Piers took to Twitter to comment: "He shouldn't have done this, and shouldn't have been allowed to do this."

In response, Stormzy tweeted: "The kid asked me a question and I replied truthfully nothing wrong with that Piers lol."
The GMB host replied that the grime star should use his celebrity status "more carefully", writing: "Come off it @stormzy - saying stuff like that to a bunch of very young schoolkids isn't cool, and you know it.
"You're a hugely influential role model now to so many youngsters, wield that power more carefully."
It didn't end here, however, as Stormzy wrote in response: "No it isn't cool, it's the truth lol.
"Again, they asked me a question and I answered it truthfully and with jest.
"I gave em my opinion, they'll grow up and be able to make their own, this ain't a shocking incident pal sorry lol."
