Piers Morgan condemns 'selfish' anti-vaxxers in foul mouthed Twitter tirade

Piers Morgan has let rip at people who have refused to have the coronavirus vaccine, calling them "selfish pr***s" in a foul mouthed Twitter rant.

The former Good Morning Britain host, who quit the show after storming off set during a Meghan Markle row earlier this year, has been very vocal over the past 12 months with his thoughts on those who turn down the Covid-19 jab.

Piers previously sparked controversy on social media by saying that frontline staff who refused to have the vaccine should be banned from work, posting: "NHS and Care Home workers who refuse to have the vaccine should not be allowed to go into work until the pandemic is over.

"Just extraordinary how many are apparently declining this basic protection to spreading the virus in the most vulnerable places. Jab up, or stay home."

And now, as 57million vaccines have been given in the UK, he's divided opinion yet again with an equally explosive opinion he tweeted on Tuesday when he wrote: "People who refuse to get jabbed but whine about lockdowns really are a special breed of stupid selfish pr*cks."

At the time of writing, the post had been retweeted more than 2,700 times and favourited by over 37,500 Twitter users.

It's also attracted well over 2,000 comments, with one follower telling Piers: "Without a doubt the finest tweet you have ever posted Piers," and another reacting: "Anyone who does not have the jab should be made to sign a form to say they do not want help from NHS if they catch covid, simple."

More reluctant to agree with the ex GMB presenter, a third responded: "I find it sad when i agree with you, but I do -- 100 pct. These are the same people who oppose vaccination passes! If you don't want a vaccine then stay at home under lockdown."

However, others tore into Piers for his stance, with one critic firing back: "I shouldn’t be forced to be injected or stay inside my home .... facts," and, taking a similar tone, another told him: "No one is refusing it there choosing not to have it because it’s their choice not yours"
