Piers Morgan claims he's been banned from the Government's daily briefings

Piers Morgan has told his millions of Twitter followers that he's been banned from the Government's daily briefings.

Over the past seven weeks Piers has hit out at the Government nearly every day on Good Morning Britain, with his treatment of some MPs sparking Ofcom complaints from angry viewers.

Just this week the outspoken presenter lashed out at Health Secretary Matt Hancock for denying GMB viewers 'life saving' information and advice by refusing to appear on the show.

He ranted to viewers: "You are not worthy of the Health Secretary's potentially life-saving information, guidance advisory, clarification.

"This morning he's gonna go on every other show so their viewers and listeners will have that information during the biggest health emergency this country has faced in my lifetime.

"I think it's shameful and completely wrong."

And, after being asked by one of his 7.5 million Twitter followers why he doesn't ask a question in the daily briefing, he replied: "I’m banned. But I can ask them here, and post to 7.5 million people..."

One fan replied: "Why are you banned? Would love to see you grill them!" and another reacted: "They banned you because they know you would’ve hit them with one question and they’d be stuttering."
