Piers Morgan celebrates Keeping Up with the Kardashians ending as he mocks family on GMB

While fans across the world are genuinely gutted by the news, Piers Morgan reacted with glee to the news that Keeping Up with the Kardashians is coming to an end.

After 14 years on screen, giving viewers insights into all the highs and sometimes tragic lows of the famous family, it has been announced that the hit show will come to an end next year.

Family members announced the news on Tuesday, with Kris Jenner saying it was with "a heavy heart" that they'd made the decision to bring the curtain down, with fans speculating why Keeping Up With the Kardashians is ending.

Kris posted: ""After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.

"We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way."

Good Morning Britain host Piers, a longtime critic of Kim Kardashian and her family, couldn't resist getting a dig in at their expense on Wednesday's show.

He ranted: "A bunch of very, very average looking dumbo bimbos have taken us all to the cleaners and made billions out of prancing around and doing this.

"They have taken us to the cleaners. Not a brain cell between them."

Echoing the thoughts of many, Piers Morgan claimed the decision to axe Keeping Up with the Kardashians was down to falling ratings.

At its peak a decade ago 4.5 million people watched in the US as Kim dealt with her split from Reggie Bush, but in stark contrast it is reported that just over a million tuned into the premiere of season 20 earlier this year.
