Piers Morgan called a 'w**ker' in supermarket for bizarre coronavirus reason

Piers Morgan has revealed that he was called a "w**ker" in the supermarket - but not for the reason you might expect.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, strolled to the local shop for some food when a man approached him.

After calling him by the rude word, Piers asked him why.

The man responded that it was because he had done nothing to expose the Freemasonry for "starting f***ing coronavirus".

Um, not exactly what we would expect the answer to be...

He tweeted earlier today: "Walked to local shop for food. Bloke called me a ‘w**ker’. I asked why. ‘Because you’ve done nothing to expose freemasonry!’ ‘For what?’ ‘Starting f*cking Coronavirus!’ He was completely serious."

Fellow Twitter users found the exchange hilarious, with one tweeting: "At least he wasn’t sunbathing piers!"

While another commented: "Wait I'm a Mason too. Did I start Corona? You learn something new every day."

However others doubted the plausibility of the story.

One wrote: "And everyone in the shop clapped."

Another @ Didn't Happen Of The Year Awards (DHOTYA) in their tweet.

This comes after Piers' ferocious Twitter feud with Lord Sugar turned toxic earlier today.

The millionaire and Apprentice star, 73, was incensed after Piers branded his behaviour an "absolute disgrace" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Piers blasted Lord Sugar for being "recklessly stupid" after telling his Twitter followers that he didn't see a problem with Brits sunbathing in public parks.

Yesterday, many ignored the lockdown during the small heatwave, resulting in a major London park to close.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock also addressed Brits in today's press briefing after it was confirmed a further 621 people have died of Covid-19 in the UK, taking the death toll to 4,934.

Mr Hancock said the Government is not imminently looking to tighten the rules on exercising outdoors - but further measures could follow if people do not follow them.
