Piers Morgan brands his co-stars bimbos as he slates Love Island girls as 'unattractive'

Television presenter Piers Morgan has slammed the women of Love Island for being unattractive.

Good Morning Britain was discussing the hit reality romance show when a clip was shown of contestant Jess Gale as she explained why the number 11 was her favourite number.

Jess explained: "Eleven is like two ones, it's like two people, I love it!"

Back in the Good Morning Britain studio, Piers was not remotely impressed by the Love Island contestants.

An exasperated Piers asked: "Why would any sane human being find any of those bimbos even remotely attractive? I don't get it."

When co-host Susanna Reid defended the girls and wanting to know favourite numbers, Piers could barely contain his ire.

He added: "I don't have a favourite number."

As newsreader Charlotte Hawkins and Susanna laughed and joked about their favourite numbers, Piers was at his wit's end and compared his co-stars to the Love Island women.

He lamented: "I'm literally surrounded by them."

The scenes certainly amused viewers at home but there were some who were very much in agreement with Piers.

One wrote on Twitter: "I agree with piers. @LoveIsland is just full of the shallowest self obsessed vile humans Britain has to offer. With their self obsessed bodies and their love for themselves at an obscene level. Do we really want these idiots as role models to our children."

Another commented against Piers: "I dont watch love island and I dont watch piers Morgan but if I had to choose I'd watch love island over piers morgan any day of the week xx"

A different viewer wrote: "Love Island is awful, agree with Piers on this one, terrible show "

Meanwhile, another viewer noted hypocrisy: "Piers Morgan going in on love island contestants and being nasty about the girls. Yet he would be the first to do an interview on mental health"

Finally, one concluded: "Some of us loathe Love Island AND Piers."

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2, while Good Morning Britain airs on weekday mornings on ITV.
