Piers Morgan brands Greta Thunberg 'very, very annoying' as she leads sweary song in Glasgow park

Piers Morgan has branded teen climate activist Greta Thunberg 'very, very annoying' after she led a sweary chant in a Glasgow park.

We told how the 18-year-old met campaigners at Festival Park in the Govan area of the city yesterday during the first day of the COP26 summit and sang 'you can shove the climate crisis up your a***'.

The Swedish teen laughed and joked with the crowd before starting a sing-song featuring the iconic Scottish tune with a twist about the environment.

Now former Good Morning Britain presenter Morgan said that while he liked Greta- she 'got on his nerves'.

In a tweet, he said: "I like Greta Thunberg and think she’s a very effective campaigner - but she can also be very very annoying."

Greta has caused a storm since arriving in Glasgow taking part in rallies and even meeting with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

Speaking at the Fridays for Future event, Greta said: ”This COP26 is just like the previous ones. It is leading us nowhere.

“Inside COP26 politicians and people in power are pretending to take our future seriously but they are lying.

"Change is not going to come from inside there. They are not the leadership, this here is leadership.”

The crowd cheered as she rallied them in a call of “ no more blah, blah”

She continued: "No more exploitation of people and the planet. No more of whatever the f*** they are doing in there at COP26.”

An open letter from Greta and other prominent young activists to world leaders urging them to cut carbon emissions has now been signed by more than 1.3million people across the world since it was sent yesterday.

The major two week conference has drawn the likes of US president Joe Biden and Prime Minister Boris Johnston amid a host of other world leaders and dignitaries.

But leaders of major polluting countries like China and Russia have snubbed the event.
