Piers Morgan brands GMB bosses 'pathetic and gutless' after they pull the plug on TV outburst

Host Piers Morgan was sensationally taken off air following a rant about Good Morning Britain director Erron Gordon.

Controversial presenter Piers branded bosses 'pathetic and gutless' following the 13-second outburst.

It came about as the GMB presenter discussed comments made by Erron on social media, in which he discussed ITV's Big Debate, CornwallLive reports.

Piers said: "We've got our director back today, Erron, last week he directed the big debate and then he tweeted it was his career highlight.

There were really no technical difficulties - just Piers on a rant (ITV)

"So his career highlight doesn't involve the people he works with every day, it's alright, we're not taking it personally.

"I was going to take you to the White House for my next interview with Trump but that's showbiz, you're gone."

Never one to back down, the 54-year-old hit back saying: "Technical difficulties? There'll be directorial difficulties, trust me."

After the rant Piers was replaced by a screen which said the show was having technical difficulties.

He then went on to claim that the show would lose viewers if they axed him.

Later in the episode Piers said he would axe BBC Breakfast in order to save enough money to keep free TV licences for the over-75s.
