Piers Morgan launched a scathing attack on sitcom Friends, as he slammed the show as 'overrated and funny'.
The TV presenter spoke out as UK viewers settle down to watch the eagerly-anticipated reunion episode of the sitcom, which sees the six main stars reunited after almost twenty years apart.
Ahead of the special, Piers' son Spencer tweeted a warning that he had no time for anyone pretending to be 'too good' for Friends on this most sacred of days for fans.
"Reminder that no one cares that you think you’re too clever to like Friends. Have a day off," Spencer informed his followers.

Piers couldn't resist chiming in on his son's tweet, as he revealed himself to be anything but an avid viewer of the long-running US series.
"Friends isn’t funny. Never has been, never will be. Most overrated show in TV history," quipped Piers.
Not stopping there, the former Good Morning Britain host then took to Instagram to double down on his scathing review of the show.

Sharing a publicity shot of actors Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt Le Blanc, Piers descended into another rant
"Am I the only person in the world who couldn’t care less about this? Friends isn’t funny - never has been, never will be. Most overrated show in TV history," he fumed to his followers.
His son cheekily reminded him that 'you need to have a sense of humour to enjoy it.'

His attack on the much-loved sitcom sparked a flurry of fans taking to the comment section to accuse Piers of being 'blasphemous' and 'so very wrong' in his view.
"This is probably how people feel about you," one retorted.
"You can have opinion but it's the wrong on," added another.
"I'm not a fan of friends but come on man how can it be overrated. It must be one of the most successful shows in history," said a third.
The Reunion episode proved just as popular as the original series as it was reported the HBO crashed earlier today as fans tried desperately to watch the one-off show as soon as it came out.
