Piers Morgan brands David Walliams a 'fraud' after crude comment leaked

Piers Morgan has branded his nemesis David Walliams 'one of the nastiest frauds in TV' after leaked recordings heard the comedian make a series of derogatory remarks.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter has reignited his long-running feud with Walliams after recordings surfaced where the comedian made a series of disrespectful comments towards contestants. David, 51, and an unknown person were in conversation discussing those who auditioned for Britain's Got Talent at London Palladium in 2020, reports the Mirror.

David has since issued an apology over the shocking remarks, but Piers couldn't resist taking a swipe at his arch enemy on Twitter. He wrote: "Tip of the iceberg... Walliams is one of the nastiest frauds in TV."

In the audio recordings, David described one contestant, who was a pensioner, as a "c**t" three times, before commenting on another: "She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don't". The recordings have been obtained by The Guardian. Walliams went on to comment about the female contestant, by saying: "I know, she's just like: 'Oh, f**k off!' I was saying, she thinks you want to f**k her, but you don't.

"It's the last thing on your mind, but she's like: 'Yep, I bet you do!' 'No I don't!' I had a bit of a b***r, but now it’s going, it's now shrivelled up inside my body."

He then went on to make more crude sexual remarks. In a statement, the comedian told The Guardian : "I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain's Got Talent in 2020.

"These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry."

A spokesperson for Thames TV, the production company behind BGT, explained that despite David's comments being made in a private conversation, they were 'inappropriate' and he has been informed about the expectations as to future professional conduct.'

Piers and David fell out when it was first revealed that the comedian had liked a series of mean tweets about Piers.

The Talk TV presenter told The Mirror that he has always refused to return to Britain's Got Talent because David is still on it. He said: "I think he is a duplicitous, treacherous, piece of work. He is one of those people who says one thing to your face and then sticks it to you behind your back.

"If he was sitting there I wouldn’t be interested. But if he wasn't sitting there, who knows."

Piers went on: "I will come back to BGT if the money is right and if they guarantee Walliams gets fired. I might even make it a contractual clause that I get to be the one who tells him he is fired. If I was him I would stick to writing his children's books."

The Mirror, our sister title, approached David Walliams' representatives for comment.
