Piers Morgan 'bored' of Holly and Phil 'always' winning the NTAs and says he won't attend next year's ceremony

Piers Morgan says he planning on boycotting next year's National Television Awards because he’s ‘bored’ of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield 'always' winning.

The outspoken Good Morning Britain presenter was already seething during today's show over actress Charlize Theron's recent comments about wanting Oscar nominations to become gender neutral.

Adding fuel to the fire, entertainment reporter Richard Arnold then mentioned that the NTAs "is sort of gender neutral, it has 'best performance', 'best drama'."

Unsurprisingly, the irritated 54-year-old was quick to announce that he is planning on not going to the next awards ceremony.

Piers then put Holly and Phil in his firing line, as well as Ant and Dec, as he moaned about the ITV presenters' annual wins.

He said: "Best Ant and Dec, best Phil and Holly. Best Phil and Holly, best Ant and Dec.

"By the way, I hope you didn’t vote for us because I’m not going this year. It’s not a good night out.’"

Disheartened Richard said: "Oh why not? It's a good night out!"

But clearly not a fan of losing, Piers continued: "Hell’s waiting room is Holly Willougby sidling up to you at one of these awards and going 'I don't think it’s going to be our year this year, I think the bubble’s going to burst. Good luck.' And they already know they’ve won.

"That’s fine but I’m bored with it so I’m not going to go this year.

"You can all go and do your own thing. Not interested...I don’t like losing."
