Piers Morgan has blasts Olympic runner Morhad Amdouni as ‘biggest d***head of the Tokyo Olympics”.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, shared a video on Twitter that showed the runner in a race at the Tokyo Olympics in Japan where Amdouni knocked over a row of water bottles as he passed them during the race before taking the last one standing - whether this was deliberate or accidental is unknown.
Amdouni later finished less than six minutes behind the winner Eliud Kipchoge in the 26-mile Olympic Men’s marathon, with the French middle-distance runner himself finishing in 14th place.
Australian long-distance runner Ben St. Lawrence shared the moment of water bottle spillage on Twitter prior Piers' tweet, asking his followers: “Thoughts on Amdouni knocking over an entire row of water before taking the last one?”

Then, after sharing the video himself, Piers tweeted on Sunday: “BREAKING: The Gold medal for biggest d*ckhead of the Tokyo Olympics goes to French marathon runner Morhad Amdouni who deliberately knocks over all the water for his fellow competitors…Unbelievable!”
However, the response to Piers’ tweet about Amdouni was mixed in the replies section.
One person replied to Piers’ tweet: “Shocking stuff. Should he be disqualified for something like that?”

A different Twitter user wrote: “Mate you’ve been gan on about how only gold matters. This guys doing all he can to win the gold medal. Make your mind up”.
Meanwhile, another Twitter user shared a longer video of the incident, suggesting it was an accident, writing: “Here's clearly stumbling. There was a water table right after. Would love to see you try and collect a bottle at 17mph Piers”.
Elsewhere, one person opined: “It looks like an accident, he’s reaching out around the guy on his right and can’t grab one “.

Finally, one uncertain Twitter user concluded: “Watching this over and over, it could be clumsiness due to physical effort. From a different ‘point of view’ you could see this as an attempt to grab one bottle, knocking over the rest, untill he succeeds with the last bottle.”
Piers has not been quiet during the Olympic Games, having made a number of controversial statements about t he worth of medals other than the winner's Gold ones and also the decision of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles to withdraw from some competitions due to mental health reasons.
