Piers Morgan has criticised Jennifer Lawrence’s wedding registry list – branding it as “tacky”.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 54, went through the items on the actress's list during Wednesday's episode of the show, comparing it to the list of prizes on the Generation Game.
Her registry contains a wide range of domestic products – from a $15 (£13) marble cheese slicer to a $449 (£363) robotic mop – all listed on Amazon.
Dissecting it, Morgan said: “In the old days you’d have the mystique around Hollywood glamour, now it’s all like, ‘Oh here’s Jennifer Lawrence, she likes an espresso maker, a marble rolling pin and a ninja multi-cooker. A joy of cooking book... It’s like the Generation Game.”
Addressing the actress, Morgan added: ‘You know what Jennifer, it’s all a bit tacky love. Seriously, you’re a great actress, you’ve made brilliant movies and a few turkeys, this is not a good look seriously.
"Putting out your cheap and cheerful wedding list on Amazon. Seriously. Not a good look."
Lawrence, 29, announced she was engaged to art dealer Cooke Maroney, 34, in February this year.
Speaking to Catt Sandler on her podcast NAKED, Lawrence explained that she wasn’t marrying Cooke for the sake of getting married. She said, “I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married.’ I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him.”
The couple are believed to have been introduced by their mutual friend Laura Simpson.
