Piers Morgan bans GMB guest from the show after she slams him for 'shouting' at her

Piers Morgan has banned a Good Morning Britain guest from the ITV show after she hit out at him on Twitter.

Harmeet Dhillon, who is the former vice chairwoman of the California Republican Party, appeared on Monday's episode but wasn't happy with how she was treated.

She claimed she was told she would be on the show with Ronald Reagan Jr. but was disappointed to be in a debate against Frank Luntz and Jeffrey Archer, a move she called an act of "bait-and-switch" by producers.

In a series of tweets, Harmeet slammed Piers for "interrupting" and "shouting" at her, which triggered the GMB host to say she wouldn't be "invited back" on to the show.

Harmeet shared a video from today's show to prove her point.

Discussing coronavirus quarantine rules and restrictions across the US, she said: "The President has very limited powers over these types of issues."

But Piers spoke over her, saying: "Sorry can you stop talking for a moment?

"Excuse me... excuse me... excuse me... excuse me... Sorry is there a problem with your hearing?"

Harmeet retweeted the video, saying: "I joined @piersmorgan and two dudes who called 2016 wrong — Frank Luntz and Lord Jeffrey Archer (both flogging books) and got repeatedly interrupted by Mr free speech book Piers.

"Sorry if the facts don't fit your tendentious narrative guys — but I'm sticking to them."

She added: "Did I mention the @GMB producers bait-and-switch — originally told me I would be on opposite polite Ron Reagan Jr.

"Instead, 45 minutes after originally promised hit time in the middle of the night I'm with these two wrong, book-selling windbags and @piersmorgan shouting at me..."

Harmeet continued: "I don't mind a frank exchange of views but I won't be bullied & cut off by biased &ignorant hectoring.

"Lord Archer wheezing on about the electoral college...You live in a monarchy & are in the 'House of Lords,' please don't lecture us about how a constitutional republic works!"

Piers tweeted in response: "Relax luv, you'll never be invited back."

Mirror Online has contacted ITV for comment.
