Piers Morgan asks 'what the f**k' was Donald Trump thinking as he breaks quarantine

Piers Morgan has slammed Donald Trump for breaking quarantine after catching coronavirus.

The US President was admitted to hospital over the weekend after testing positive for coronavirus, but left to go for a drive so he could wave to the crowds outside.

Now Piers has asked "What the F*CK was he thinking?" as Trump presumably put the lives of everyone in the car with him at risk as he went against medical advice to leave the hospital.

Writing in the Daily Mail, Piers said: "When I woke up in the UK to this news, I audibly groaned and uttered a profanity."

He added: "The answer is sadly obvious: he was thinking, once again, only of himself."

The Good Morning Britain host believes Trump broke the rules in a bid to please his fans.

There are now just 30 days until the US election, and his Democrat opponent Joe Biden is leading in the polls.

Trump has been a coronavirus sceptic, refusing to believe how serious the worldwide pandemic was.

In the US alone 200,000 people have already died.

Piers said: "It was just a shameless and shameful PR move to show everyone he's 'winning' against the virus."

Trump's controversial actions come after he said he was taking the coronavirus seriously at last.

He said: "I learned a lot about Covid. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn't the 'let's read the books' school.

"And I get it, and I understand it, and it's a very interesting thing, and I'm going to be letting you know about it."
