Piers Morgan asks Isle of Man Minister if he'll change name of island to appease feminists

Piers Morgan has asked the Isle of Man Chief Minister if he'd ever to changed the name to Isle of Wo-Man to appease feminists - before saying he'd like to go for a pint there.

As he discussed the fact the the island is now Covid free, the ITV Good Morning Britain host asked Howard Quayle MHK: "How have you got away with keeping the title of your island The Isle of Man in these gender neutral days that we all have to endure?"

Howard replied: "We are the oldest continuous parliament in the world. We've been going since 979 so I think it would be a tough job to get us to alter out name.

"We are very proud, all of us , all residents of all genders to be living on the isle of Man."

Howard Quayle says Isle of Man was first to give women the vote (GMB)

Piers asked again: "Have you got any militant feminists who want to make it Isle of Wo-Man?"

Howard replied: "No no we were the first place in the world actually to give women the vote - for ladies holding property on the island."

After congratulating the island on their achievement of removing lockdown and being Covid free, Piers added: "There you go the Isle of Man is the most feminist place in the world. I think irony just died."

"If you need any help with making things a little bit more party central, trust me the minute this is over I'm coming.

"Make sure you've got a nice pint of Harveys for me. I can arrange that for you. "

Susanna Reid reminded Piers he'd have to wait as she warned: "Not until then or you'll be thrown in the slammer."

Piers then asked: "I want to know why we couldn't do the same thing in our country. The size is different but the principles the same?'

On the show he also angrily questioned the University Minister why students were still paying full whack for their education when it had now gone online.
