Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid's replacement revealed as they leave GMB for two weeks

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid are leaving Good Morning Britain for two weeks.

The presenting duo are taking a lengthy break from our screens next month, which may be good or bad news for certain viewers.

Piers and Susanna will host their last show together on Friday 5 April before they disappear.

They will both have time off for the Easter holidays and won't return for over two weeks.

The pair will not be back on screen together until Tuesday 23 April - but their replacement is a familiar face.

Standing in for the first three days will be popular host Richard Madeley, according to The Sun .

The fan favourite, who is regularly compared to comedy character Alan Partridge, will return once more.

Richard was a hit when he took the reigns from Piers back in February.

Ratings reportedly surged when Richard was last on and viewers called for the guest host to get a permanent role.

It is not yet known who else will be covering for Piers and Susanna during their break.

They have previously been replaced by show regulars Charlotte Hawkins, Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.

Piers has already taken a long break this year when he headed to America in February.

Susanna shared the selfie of the pair of them on Twitter with Piers looking slightly manic.

She tweeted: "Sadly, our last morning together for three weeks... @gmb."

He also got a ribbing from showbiz reporter Richard Arnold live on air.

Richard joked: "If you're leaving for three weeks lighting can take a break."
