Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid clash over Brexit during Nigel Farage interview

Susanna Reid has clashed with her Good Morning Britain co-presenter Piers Morgan over his Brexit claims.

The ITV presenters were interviewing Nigel Farage, who said a clean break from the European Union with a 'no deal' Brexit was the country's best option moving forwards.

Piers then claimed he had not met a single person who had changed their mind on Brexit since the referendum in June 2016, Mirror Online reports.

This angered Susanna, who insisting that Piers was lying.

Piers said: "Remainers say everyone has changed their mind. People send me tweets from people claiming they have.

"I have not met anybody in my circle of friends, family or wider acquaintances who have changed their mind."

Susanna responded: "Sorry we have had people sitting here at this desk who have changed their mind. Gavin Williamson and a number of members of the cabinet have changed their mind."

"Let me qualify it," Piers then interuppted. "Apart from self interested politicians who want to retain their power."

Farage agreed with Piers and claimed politicians "pretend to change their minds".

The Brexit party leader said: "Forget people changing their minds. People want it over, done and get on with the rest of their lives. Who wants this to dominate our politics for another five or 10 years."

Good Morning Britain viewers commented on Twitter that Farage was given an 'easy ride'.

One viewer said: "Piers giving Farage an easy time of it on #GMB. They might be new BFFs after cementing their friendship over the #Ashes and helping each other through the trauma of the loss."

Another joked: "Watching the Brexit party political broadcast with Piers Morgan cheerleading."
