Piers Morgan has appeared to take aim at ITV by sharing an extract from his book on Twitter.
Morgan quit as co-host of ITV’s breakfast show Good Morning Britain after remarks he made about Meghan Markle.
He refused to apologise for comments about the Duchess of Sussex in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Pressure mounted on the former presenter and by early last week, Ofcom had received more than 41,000 complaints about his behaviour.
This prompted an investigation into whether his comments broke the UK broadcasting code.
He has since said he has become the latest ‘victim’ of the cancel culture that is permeating our country.

Posting and highlighting an extract from his book, Piers Tweeted: “This entry from my book aged like a bottle of corked Liebfraumilch.”
The highlighted extract read: “It’s about potentially seeing your life and career turned upside down for expressing opinions that the woke brigade don’t like, about anything.
“I’m lucky in that although there have been repeated attempts to ‘cancel’ me, including petitions to have me sacked, I’ve survived because I have strong-minded employers who refuse to bow to the mob, and I have a powerful TV, newspaper column and social media platform to fight fire with fire.”
“Cancel culture is not about whether obvious racists should be given platforms.
It is understood a formal complaint was lodged with ITV on behalf of Meghan Markle following the broadcast of the interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The remarks provoked a backlash, and it is understood that ITV executives wanted Morgan to apologise for them on-air.
An ITV spokesperson said: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
He is expected to continue at ITV in some capacity following his departure from Good Morning Britain.
