Piers Morgan accuses Meghan and Harry of 'using' son Archie to 'flog' podcast

Piers Morgan let rip at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry amid his return to Good Morning Britain today after the Christmas break, crudely branding them "ginge and cringe".

The 55-year-old accused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of "using" their son Archie to "flog" their new Spotify podcast.

His co-star Susanna Reid had mentioned their "very successful" new podcast, to which Piers responded: "Have we got that gut-wrenching bit where they bring in the little kid that they're so desperate to protect his privacy?

"They use him to flog their podcast."

Susanna apologised to viewers, saying: "I'm so sorry, I mentioned Meghan because I thought it was a nice moment and Dame Joan Collins was very nice about her. I realised it's actually triggered you - I'm sorry."

"When ginge and cringe did their podcast," Piers said as Susanna heaved a huge sigh. "That's their new nickname - ginge and cringe. Well, he's got ginger hair and she makes me cringe.

"With the Spotify thing, and little Archie was brought in to flog it, did it not make you...?"

"No," Susanna insisted.

Piers responded: "Not at all? 'We've got to leave the country to protect his privacy - now the moment we sign a big money deal for Spotify, we use him to flog our podcast'?"

"They're not using him," Susanna replied. "He's part of their family and if they want to include him then why not?"

After airing a clip of the podcast, Susanna exclaimed: "She's fallen in love!"

Piers cynically replied: "She's fallen in love with what he can bring to her wallet!"
