Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sends message to Christian Pulisic as he joins Chelsea

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has sent a welcome message to his former team-mate Christian Pulisic after he finally completed his transfer to Chelsea.

The Stamford Bridge club shelled out £58million to land the young America international in January, before loaning him back to Dortmund for the rest of the season.

He linked up with his new Chelsea team-mates this week, ahead of the Blues' Europa League final clash with Arsenal, which he is ineligible to play in.

Aubameyang played alongside Pulisic when the duo were at Dortmund together and took to Twitter to welcome him to the UK.

"My bro welcome to the Premier League," tweeted Aubameyang. "I know you gonna smash it. You always showed me respect so I wish you all the best."

Dortmund have moved quickly to replace the void left by the departing Pulisic this week, landing both Thorgan Hazard and Julian Brandt.

Brandt has joined the German giants from Bayer Leverkusen in a five-year deal worth £22m while Hazard, who has also penned a contract until 2024, signed for £30m from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Whether Dortmund will be able to keep hold of Jadon Sancho this summer remains to be seen, but in Brandt and Hazard they have two quality wingers.

Upon signing for Dortmund, Brandt told the club's official website: "I am a person who sometimes decides things from the gut and for whom a good feeling is important.

"In the case of Borussia Dortmund, I have a very good feeling.

"One of the main reasons for my change is that BVB narrowly missed the title last season, so there is room for improvement and I am very excited about the boys.

"I am very motivated and optimistic about my personal development but especially the whole team."

Hazard added: "I'm thankful for the five great years and very fond memories I had at Borussia Monchengladbach.

"Now was exactly the right time to take the next step in my career. I'm proud to be able to play for Borussia Dortmund. They're a top club with incredible fans."
