Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sends accidental demand for one key tactical change during interview

Post-match interviews are sometimes boring and offer nothing unique or real but that wasn't the case when Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took the mic on Monday evening.

Ask a player about what he wants and they will usually toe the party line and not say anything outside of the box.

But that wasn't the case when Aubameyang spoke to Sky Sports' pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher after Arsenal's 1-0 win at Watford on Monday evening.

'Where's your cojones Deeney?' - These Arsenal fans unable to hold back laughter after red card

Instead, Aubameyang opened up on why he would prefer to play alongside Alexandre Lacazette rather than starting up front on his own like he did in the win at Vicarage Road.

"Everyone knows that I like to play with Laca. We have a great partnership. Sometimes one plays and the other is on the bench. You have to fight for the team.

"I don't want to say that I like playing with Laca because the coach might be..."

As Aubameyang tailed off into laughter Neville chimed in: “You already have!”

Aubameyang then added his thoughts on the battle to land the top goalscorer award in the Premier League.

Why Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac were dropped for Arsenal at Watford

"Why not? I feel confident. The (top scorer) race is going on. I know it's a tough battle. I will carry on," Aubameyang added.

"It was a great goal for Mo Salah at the weekend. Unbelievable goal. I liked mine. It was easier than Mo’s."
