Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future, Ainsley Maitland-Niles exit and Edu's January transfer plan

With the January transfer window approaching, Arsenal fans have plenty of questions around their club right now.

The Gunners find themselves in pole position in the race for the top four, but with West Ham, Tottenham and Manchester United all battling with them for the one remaining spot, the club could look to use next month to bolster their challenge.

Mikel Arteta has already suggested that this is something he could be open to doing.

“If you can tweak what you need to in that period, which is not easy, it would be really helpful,” the Spaniard said. “We are working on that to see the necessities we can have, and whether we can find the right solutions to that.”

The situation may well be affected by the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is yet to make a match day squad since being stripped of the club captaincy earlier this month.

He is one of several players being linked to a move away with Pablo Mari, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Eddie Nketiah, Sead Kolasinac and Mohamed Elneny all understood to have attracted interest from other clubs.

This has created the suggestion that Arsenal may look to bring in a midfielder next month, with Lille's Renato Sanches among the names being linked. A striker could also be on the agenda with Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton and Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic on the list of players being mentioned.

Meanwhile there is still uncertainty over the future of Alexandre Lacazette, who is currently set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of this season, but could still be offered a new deal late in the day according to reports.

Luckily football.london 's Gunners writers Chris Wheatley, Kaya Kaynak and Tashan Deniran-Alleyne are on hand to help out and answer any questions about the club that you might have.
